Hot Cakes Molten Chocolate Cakery (Seattle, WA)

Hot Cakes Molten Chocolate Cakery (Seattle, WA) - With a name like that, you bet I had to go look it up even though I had a feeling it would end up on my itinerary. Weirdly, I really like lava cakes (the'd randomly serve them at my old workplace for dessert frequently), so I'm glad [...]

Sawyer (Seattle, WA)

Sawyer (Seattle, Washington) - I don’t want to say this was the highlight in terms of food during my Seattle trip, but it was. Their food AND their service was fantastic. If this was a Yelp review, I’d give them 5 stars (which I rarely do) - and I will after I make this blog [...]

A Piece of Star’s Hollow in the Bay Area

This year, I fully embraced the Fall season. It's my favorite season, and in my opinion, Fall doesn't officially start until October - which also happens to my birthday month. I love sweater weather, the changing leaves, and fall sweets just like everyone else, and this year I took it to the next level by [...]

Steelhead Diner (Seattle, WA)

Steelhead Diner (Seattle, WA) - On our first day, we decided to knock out Pike Place out of the way. By the time we got to Pike Place, parked, and walked around, it was already almost 3 o'clock. I think we were getting hangry because we couldn't decide where to eat. Initially, I did want [...]

General Porpoise Doughnuts (Seattle, WA)

General Porpoise Doughnuts (Seattle, WA) - When I came across this donut shop, I made sure to incorporate it into my itinerary. Donuts are always a fun way to treat yourself on a trip! This Seattle trip was in the making for several months. What started out as an idea my sister threw out there [...]

IT ME

A Bay Area native encountering food from all over the Bay Area (and more on occasion!). I watch far too much TV for my own good, spend too many hours on the internet looking at clothes, memes, and Wikipedia, laugh a little too hard at celebrity gossip, drool at pictures of food and travel that my friends post on Facebook & Instagram, and sleep at the worst times possible.

Thinking back to my bougie museum lunch after this crazy long week. A roasted butternut squash tartine with miso, toasted pumpkin seeds, mint, and ricotta on grilled sourdough. Yes, it was delicious. Also, stay tuned this weekend for an exciting post! 👀
Pizza is always a good choice, no matter the shape.
happy thanksgiving; I ate way too much 🍂🍁
It’s cold and rainy in the Bay, so maybe this isn’t the most weather appropriate post (or is it? Since this is in Seattle) but whatevs. 🤷🏻‍♀️ After having a super late lunch at Pike Place, we stopped at Rachel’s Ginger Beer where I had dole whip! Besides their multiple ginger beer flavors, they have frozen desserts, cocktails, boozy floats, and even a CBD drink. 🍍
I get hot coffee in the summer heat, and iced coffee while walking around in 45 degree weather. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I know there’s 39472 coffee shops in Seattle, and I wanted to stop at every single one, but we came back to Elm more than once! Even their hot chocolate was delicious!
Hot Cakes Molten Chocolate Cakery (say that 3 times fast, it's hard) was recommended to me by two people, so I knew I had to check it out - and i'm so glad I did! Who doesn't love a delicious chocolate cake after a fantastic dinner? Exactly. The one in the front was their seasonal blackberry lavender molten cake, with organic pacific northwest blackberries! Check out the full recap on the blog; link in bio. 🍫🍰
